Richard Bell is an Award winning artist whoes paintings have been described as being based in realism, with influences of eclectic surrealism and impressionism.
Richard picked up his first paintbrush in art class back in 1990. His uncle, Ramon Howell, a well-known Bay area artist noticed his talent and mentored him for one year. Richard continued to develop his painting styles while simultaneously enjoying a career in information technology. In 2002 he was in a catastrophic motor vehicle accident leaving him a quadriplegic. Through trial and error he figured out a way to create his images despite the lack of hand dexterity. Richard currently showcases his work twice a year at the Beverly Hills art show where he won third place in the painting category in the fall of 2016. He.also shows at other galleries and events around the Los Angeles area.
